V\u00f6lker Logistik GmbH is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. What began as a family-owned company in 2005 has grown into a reliable logistics partner with a strong regional presence and international focus. A key milestone was its entry into the VCHD Cargo Group in 2021, also a family-owned company, under whose leadership V\u00f6lker Logistik has been growing steadily ever since. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“The past two decades have been marked by dynamism, innovation, and sustained growth. Today, we are proud to offer our customers comprehensive services in the areas of regional and long-distance land transport, consulting, and training,” <\/em> says Niko V\u00f6lker, Managing Director of V\u00f6lker Logistik.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Based in Alsfeld, Hesse, near the A5 motorway, V\u00f6lker Logistik has more than 1,300 m\u00b2 of its own storage space and a modern fleet of vehicles. This year alone, the company has expanded its fleet with more than 15 new vehicles worth over \u20ac1.5 million. These are mainly 12-ton vehicles for regional deliveries, which replace vehicles intended for existing customers, but also serve new orders \u2013 for example, for the pharmaceutical segment with direct deliveries to hospitals \u2013 and are operated by specially trained crews. Over the next two months, the fleet is set to be expanded further with vehicles with swap bodies and hydraulic ramps worth over \u20ac400,000. <\/p>\n

“In order to meet our customers’ requirements, we order vehicles in line with their corporate design and the required equipment,” <\/em>explains Niko V\u00f6lker. In addition, all vehicles in the fleet are equipped for the transport of dangerous goods in accordance with ADR and equipped with an electric pallet truck for easier unloading at customer sites. The fleet is not only used regionally; some of the vehicles are also located directly at customer sites. This investment strategy is part of the company’s planned organic growth. <\/p>\n

In the area of regional transport, V\u00f6lker Logistik serves more than 800 postal code areas every day with more than 50 vehicles and completes over 15,000 transport orders per month. Long-distance transport is provided by its own trucks, including swap bodies and special solutions for oversized shipments. <\/p>\n

“Our philosophy is to create added value for customers, partners and employees. Integration into the VCHD Cargo Group has opened up new opportunities and synergies for us, from which we have been able to benefit significantly in recent years,” <\/em> adds Niko V\u00f6lker.<\/p>\n

In addition to the company’s 20th anniversary, another significant milestone was reached this year: for the first time in the history of V\u00f6lker Logistik, the number of employees exceeded 100. As it celebrates this important company anniversary, V\u00f6lker Logistik is not only looking back on its successful past, but also focusing on future development: digitalization, sustainability, and customer orientation remain the cornerstones of the company’s strategy for the coming years. <\/p>\n
