VCHD Cargo is expanding its car wash services at its branch in Havlíčkův Brod to include the disinfection of trucks, trailers, and smaller commercial vehicles (vans). This new service responds to growing hygiene requirements in freight transport, especially for companies that transport food, pharmaceuticals, or other sensitive shipments. It can also be used by anyone who wants to preventively increase the hygiene level of truck transport.

Disinfection is carried out by trained VCHD Cargo staff using MEPRO-DES*, and the company is authorized to issue a certificate of disinfection of the vehicle and cargo space.

Who is disinfection intended for?

• Companies that transport food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, or other hygiene-sensitive goods
• For operations where higher hygiene standards are required, and for any company that needs to have a disinfection certificate.
• For vehicles that operate in environments with a risk of contamination.
• For companies that care about their image – a clean and disinfected interior makes a better impression on customers.

Disinfection is carried out in three steps – washing off coarse dirt, disinfection, and rinsing – and takes up to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the space. The price of disinfection is unbeatable: semi-trailer/car + trailer for CZK 800, van for CZK 400 (prices include VAT).

The VCHD Cargo car wash is located at Lidická 1983, 580 01 Havlíčkův Brod and, in addition to disinfection, offers pressure washing, active foam washing, hand washing, and machine washing using a KÄRCHER car wash. The car wash is open Monday to Friday from 6:10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

* More information about the MEPRO-DES disinfectant:

MEPRO-DES is a liquid, alkaline, foaming cleaner for use in the food industry. It dissolves fats, blood, proteins, and gelatin. It is used for cleaning and disinfecting refrigeration, freezer, and sales areas, as well as smoking equipment and cabinets, slaughterhouse areas, refrigerated trucks, and more. It is used for manual or foam cleaning, using pressure and injection. It is slightly aggressive on soft metals (e.g., aluminum).

Based in Alsfeld, Hesse, near the A5 motorway, Völker Logistik has more than 1,300 m² of its own storage space and a modern fleet of vehicles. This year alone, the company has expanded its fleet with more than 15 new vehicles worth over €1.5 million. These are mainly 12-ton vehicles for regional deliveries, which replace vehicles intended for existing customers, but also serve new orders – for example, for the pharmaceutical segment with direct deliveries to hospitals – and are operated by specially trained crews. Over the next two months, the fleet is set to be expanded further with vehicles with swap bodies and hydraulic ramps worth over €400,000.

“In order to meet our customers’ requirements, we order vehicles in line with their corporate design and the required equipment,” explains Niko Völker. In addition, all vehicles in the fleet are equipped for the transport of dangerous goods in accordance with ADR and equipped with an electric pallet truck for easier unloading at customer sites. The fleet is not only used regionally; some of the vehicles are also located directly at customer sites. This investment strategy is part of the company’s planned organic growth.

In the area of regional transport, Völker Logistik serves more than 800 postal code areas every day with more than 50 vehicles and completes over 15,000 transport orders per month. Long-distance transport is provided by its own trucks, including swap bodies and special solutions for oversized shipments.
