Privacy Notice (GDPR)
Website enquiries and recruitment applications
English version dated 7 September 2026
This notice explains how VCHD Cargo a.s. handles personal data submitted through its website, including the C+E driver recruitment questionnaires, and how website and advertising measurement relates to those enquiries.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is VCHD Cargo a.s., company identification number (IČO) 27231551, with its registered office at Železárenská 315, 272 01 Kladno, Czech Republic.
For questions about this notice or to exercise your data-protection rights, contact Petr.Kozel@vchd.cz. Website: vchd.cz.
2. What information do we process?
When you contact us, we process the information you provide, such as your name, telephone number, email address and the contents of your enquiry. A business enquiry may also contain your company name, address, company identification number or tax identification number.
The driver recruitment questionnaire asks for information needed to assess your application, including:
- your name, telephone/WhatsApp contact, current city and an optional email address;
- whether you are currently in the Czech Republic;
- your C+E driving entitlement, Code 95 qualification and digital tachograph driver card;
- your employee card or other permission to work, and information you choose to provide about the first employee card;
- your current employment situation and possible availability;
- your working languages, C+E driving experience, ADR qualification and preferred work schedule.
The form also records its language, the page from which it was submitted and a randomly generated submission identifier. Technical information associated with website use can include your IP address, device/browser information, visited pages, cookie identifiers and advertising click identifiers.
Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or application. The initial questionnaire does not ask you to upload copies of your identity or residence documents.
3. Why do we use your information?
We use enquiry information to respond to you and provide the information or services you requested.
For recruitment, we use your answers to assess whether your qualifications, availability and work preferences match current vacancies; contact you about a suitable position; and discuss the steps needed for a potential change of employer. Applicable administrative steps depend on your individual residence and work rights.
Website and advertising measurement helps us understand which recruitment communications lead to relevant enquiries. It does not replace the recruitment team’s assessment of your application.
4. Legal grounds for processing
The legal ground depends on the purpose of the processing:
- Steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performance of a contract — Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, where processing is necessary to respond to your request or assess your application for a potential employment relationship.
- Consent — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, for processing based on the consent you give, including optional cookie or marketing choices where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Legal obligations — Article 6(1)(c) GDPR, where processing is required by applicable law, including relevant employment, immigration or record-keeping obligations.
- Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, where necessary and proportionate to protect our systems or establish, exercise or defend legal claims, taking account of your rights and interests.
Providing information is voluntary. If you do not provide information necessary to answer your enquiry or assess a vacancy, we may be unable to proceed with that enquiry or application. Submitting an application does not itself subscribe you to unrelated commercial marketing.
5. Cookies and advertising measurement
Cookies and similar technologies support website operation, preferences, analytics and advertising measurement. Necessary cookies support essential functions; optional technologies are managed through the website’s cookie-consent settings where applicable. You can review or change your cookie choices through those settings and can also control cookies in your browser.
The website uses Google analytics/advertising tools and Meta advertising measurement. For the C+E employer-change questionnaire, a qualified-conversion event is configured to be sent only after a successful submission whose answers meet the relevant qualification checks. The event uses a random submission identifier to help avoid duplicate counting.
The conversion-event parameters are designed to contain event metadata and the submission identifier, rather than the individual questionnaire answers. The measurement providers may also receive technical information through their tools, such as IP addresses, browser/device information, the visited page and cookie or advertising identifiers.
These tools and providers are described in Google’s Privacy Policy and Meta’s Privacy Policy. Your application is handled through the VCHD website form; the conversion signal is not the full application.
6. Who may receive the information?
Information is available to authorised people handling your enquiry or recruitment application and, where necessary to operate the relevant services, to providers of website hosting, technical support and communication services. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the measurement information described above. Information may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.
Providers may process technical information in countries outside the European Economic Area. Their privacy information explains relevant international transfers and safeguards. You can contact us for further information about transfers relating to your personal data.
7. How long is information kept?
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For an enquiry or application, the relevant criteria include whether we are still responding to you, assessing a suitable vacancy or handling related recruitment steps. Further retention may be necessary to comply with legal record-keeping requirements or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where processing is based on consent, we also take account of any withdrawal of that consent. Retention periods for cookies and technical measurement data depend on the relevant tool and its settings. You may contact us to ask about the retention of your particular application or other personal data.
8. Automated processing
The recruitment measurement uses rule-based qualification checks, for example whether the submitted answers confirm the relevant driving qualifications and work permission. This classification is used for conversion measurement. It is not, by itself, a decision to employ or reject you. The recruitment team reviews enquiries and suitable vacancies.
9. How is information protected?
The website uses HTTPS to encrypt information in transit. Personal data must be handled with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls appropriate to the services involved. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request:
- access to your personal data and a copy of that data;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- erasure of your data or restriction of processing;
- data portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means;
- withdrawal of consent for processing that relies on consent;
- an objection to processing based on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation.
You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time. Where an exception or legal retention obligation prevents us from fully complying with a request, we will explain the applicable reason.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic, this is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů): uoou.gov.cz.
11. Contact and updates
For explanations, requests or concerns, email Petr.Kozel@vchd.cz. This English notice describes website enquiries and the current recruitment forms. It may be updated when the relevant processes or tools change.
